CRT Game On uses the power of sport to change lives for the better in former coalfield communities. Our free sessions allow everyone to get involved, get active and learn new skills.
CRT Game On has five different strands:
CRT Game On 5ives
CRT Game On 5ives are free sessions to get young people off the streets and on to the football pitch. We run CRT Game On 5ives in dozens of former coalfield communities and are always looking for ways to bring it to new places. CRT Game On 5ives gets young people healthy while helping them to learn new skills, supported by our dedicated coaches on local football pitches.
CRT Game On Girls
CRT Game On Girls introduces girls between five and twelve years old to football. It’s all about boosting confidence, learning new skills and having fun. We want girls to build a lifelong love of sport and bring on the next generation of female players in the professional game.
CRT Game On Active
Whether you’re two or eighty-two years old our lifelong sport programme has something for you. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a seasoned pro or total beginner, we have an activity to help you live a more active life. We help a child to find the sport for them, leading to a lifetime of benefits. We also bring older people together through sport helping them make new friends and stay active.
CRT Game On +
We believe sport can play a role in a person’s life beyond participation: CRT Game On + allows those taking part in CRT Game On to access additional opportunities such as training, volunteering, community asset transfer support and kit grants to deliver the full benefits of a life with sport.
CRT Home Internationals
An annual tournament which raises aspirations as young people from former coalfield communities in England, Scotland and Wales make new friends and compete to lift the CRT Home Internationals shield.
Who We Help

Health
Almost one in ten people in coalfield communities are in poor health. We help people living in coalfields to improve their health so they can get the most out of their lives.
